How Cookies Are Used
Project Universal now uses two categories of strictly necessary storage and, where you actively consent, one category of optional analytics cookies. Optional analytics is off by default and should not be activated before consent is given.
The strictly necessary category covers both your cookie preference choice and the secure session handling needed for account sign-in, account recovery, admin access, and anti-forgery form protection across the site.

Accounts, Sign-In, and Security
If you register for an account, sign in, use the account area, reset a password, activate an account from an email link, or access the admin area, the site may use a strictly necessary session cookie so the server can recognise your session while you move between pages.
This session layer is also used for security features such as CSRF protection, which helps confirm that form submissions genuinely come from your browser session and not from a third party site or malicious request.
These session cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling. They support the secure operation of the account and admin features and generally expire when the session ends, although exact handling may depend on the hosting environment and browser settings.
Google Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, this site may load Google Analytics 4 with the measurement ID G-CNCRGL0BC0. Google may place analytics cookies or use similar technologies to measure how visitors use the site, such as page visits, approximate device and browser information, and general engagement patterns.
Project Universal is not using Google Analytics for advertising personalisation on this site. Analytics is configured only after consent, and ad personalisation signals are set to off in the current implementation.
Google acts as a third-party provider for these analytics services. Depending on how Google processes analytics data, personal data may be processed on servers outside the UK or EEA. If you need more information, you should also review Google's own privacy and data policies.
Your Choice
Optional analytics cookies are off by default. Visitors can choose to accept or reject analytics cookies from the banner, and no analytics should load until acceptance has been recorded.
Rejecting analytics should not prevent access to the main public content of the site. You can also change your choice later by using the cookie settings control.
Retention and Review
The site's own cookie preference is currently stored for approximately six months so that your choice can be respected without prompting on every visit. If the site's use of cookies changes, visitors should be asked for fresh consent where legally required.
Session cookies used for sign-in, account, password reset, and admin functions are generally short-lived and exist only for as long as needed to operate the relevant session securely.
